Robert Half Field Technician in Wethersfield, Connecticut

Description

We are inviting applications for the role of Field Technician in WETHERSFIELD, Connecticut. The role is part of our IT/Telecom team and involves offering IT and Telecom solutions to a range of small to medium sized organizations. We're looking for individuals who can bring in their unique problem-solving skills to provide cost-effective solutions and excellent service.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up PCs/Notebooks/Printers on the LAN and configuring wired and wireless routers & firewalls

• Troubleshooting network-related hardware, software, internet & e-mail issues

• Migrating customers from the old to a new server operating system such as the MS-Windows 2016/2019

• Ensuring proficiency in the Microsoft desktop Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of anti-virus, anti-malware software, and backup software

• Configuring and managing databases and EO/IR systems

• Providing deskside support and handling computer hardware issues

• Managing Active Directory and configuration management

• Familiarity with Lotus Notes and Citrix Technologies

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of MS Windows 10 and desktop hardware.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Citrix Technologies.

• Familiarity with various database systems.

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems.

• Experience in using Lotus Notes.

• Proficient in Microsoft software.

• Understanding of Active Directory.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware.

• Experience in Configuration Management.

• Proven skills in Deskside Support.

• Knowledge of Desktop Hardware.

• Familiarity with MS Windows 10 operating system.

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Help Desk Analyst.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

• Must have a strong commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with new technologies.
