Provide support function for auditing of Operational processes and procedures. Role will assist Internal Audit Manager and Senior Audit staff in performing testing of key controls, and gathering of supporting evidence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

  • Compile required sample selections and associated backup/evidence for all internal and external audits. Assesses (tests) audit evidence submitted to determine if it meets audit objectives, demonstrates completeness and accuracy, and does not contain unnecessary information.

  • Support multiple deliverables simultaneously, assisting with audit engagements to ensure that objectives are met consistently. Ensure all audit requests are logged and tracked to completion, holding appropriate parties accountable to meet deadlines.

  • Support Senior Audit staff with follow up testing to ensure controls are operating effectively, as recommended in the formal audit report

  • Support Senior Audit staff with ISO Certification and SOX compliance activities, including annual audits

  • Perform specific testing on Operational Audits (for both process and contractual compliance) to ensure gaps are identified and tests/results are documented.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills

  • General Auditing skills (process, contract compliance, etc.)

  • Be able to do a ctivities with slight variation using a definite set of processes or directions with some degree of supervision. Choice of learned things in situations which conform to clearly established patterns and modes.

  • Be able to perform general assignments in planning time, method, manner, and/or sequence of performance of own work with limited responsibility.

  • Ability to perform work operations which permit frequent opportunity for decision-making of MINOR IMPORTANCE and which would not only affect the operating efficiency of the individual involved, but would also affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a slight degree.

  • Able to perform general assignments of work with periodic checks of performance by supervisor.

  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in situations of a routine nature.

    Intermediate: Accounting

    Alphanumeric Data Entry Contact Management Enterprise Resource Planning Spreadsheet

    Basic: 10-Key

    Presentation/PowerPoint Word Processing/Typing

Required Experience

EDUCATION

Required: High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.

Preferred: Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college.

EXPERIENCE

Required: 0-3 years related experience or training

Preferred: 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
