POSITION OVERVIEW

We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support us and the 502d Communications Squadron Joint Base San Antonio.

The 502d supports all JBSA customers that require access to the Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) and Non-Secure Internet Protocol Network (NIPRNET). 502 CS performs touch maintenance and support for network infrastructure and servers, provides service desk, server administration, Unified Capabilities, client systems support, information assurance and communications security, project management, and requirements desk support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess and troubleshoot issues, open and assign tickets and/or coordinate/assign all type of tickets (Incidents, Service Requests, MCCC's Priorities, etc.) to appropriate Production Work Centers (PWC), customers, and external Information Technology (IT) support.

  • Engage with MAJCOM Communications Coordination Centers (MCCC) as well as local and AF Enterprise forces/personnel through the use of government approved collaborative tools.

  • Participate in and brief in meetings/telecons such as local technical forums, leadership cyber operations status briefings, and MAJCOM, AF, and/or DoD IT Enterprise collaborations.

  • Assist in the testing of system releases and upgrades then provide detailed reports and recommendations.

  • Compile data from various sources, perform in-depth data analysis, and provide detailed reporting pertinent to CFP functions.

  • Track all assigned work, trouble tickets, and workflow in Government Approved Information Systems (AIS).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • Qualified in the administration of the current and/or previous Windows OS with 2 years of experience or be a Microsoft Certified Professional with 1 or more years of experience or be a CompTIA A+ and/or Net+ certification holder

  • In-depth technical knowledge with 4 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of network client/workstation hardware, printers, and other peripheral equipment.

  • In-depth technical knowledge and 4 years of experience in the installation, configuration, documentation, operation and maintenance of Microsoft client operating systems, applications and 3rd party software.

  • Basic knowledge of government programs working within Government network rules and guidelines.

  • Very good working knowledge and 2 years of experience on Microsoft applications.

  • Very good verbal and writing skills.
