Northrop Grumman Principal Software Applications Administrator/Analyst in Roy, Utah

Northrop Grumman's Chief Information Office is seeking a Level 3 Software Application Administrator/Analyst to support and maintain Systems and Software Engineering applications within unclassified and classified areas in Roy, Utah.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • End-user support of System and Software engineering software included in the Engineering Systems Pool (ESP)

  • Provide system maintenance, licenses management, software installations, upgrade deployments, operations support, test support, and system troubleshooting while meeting software compliance standards.

  • Monitor, address, and resolve Systems and Software production environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc.

  • Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting Systems and Software.

  • Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging Systems and Software engineering applications, products, and technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline with five (5) years of experience OR a Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with three (3) years of experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux Operating Systems.

  • Experience with Server/Client installations.

  • Experience with application administration.

  • Must work well with others in a professional setting regardless of skillsets.

  • Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, MATLAB, Cameo. And Jira.

  • Must have current Security+ CE Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of starting this role.

  • Must be able to work in the office as this is not a work from home or hybrid position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Security+ CE Certification

  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance

  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience as an End User for system engineering tools such as Atlassian, DOORs, MATLAB, STK, Cameo, Teamwork cloud, and/or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience as an application administrator for system engineering tools such as Atlassian, DOORs, MATLAB, STK, Cameo, Teamwork cloud, and/or Azure DevOps.

  • Ability to script and conduct matrix calculation with MATLAB and Simulink.

  • Ability to code DXL script to ingress user and group permission.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Work well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks.

  • Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.

  • Dedicated to teamwork and be ability to work well in a team environment.

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
