Duties and Responsibilities:

· Completes tasks in the support of new product development projects

following established processes and quality standards.

· Duties include material research, product/prototype development,

testing, analysis and documentation.

· Maintain a safety-first attitude in performing all the tasks

· Responsible for the day to day development work in making samples

and testing

· Responsible for the timely completion of a project and assigned tasks

· Analyze data and provide insights and recommendation based on that

· Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned

· Support production trials and new product scale-up runs

· Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve our ISO

protocols

· Demonstrate ability to communicate (verbal and written) at all levels

· Deliver technical reports and data analysis in timely manner

· Demonstrate basic computer skills in excel, power point and project

management

· Work closely with the purchasing, production and marketing teams to

fulfill customer’s new and existing product needs.

Other:

· Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules

· Must be able to work extended hours when required

· All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)

· Four years of engineering degree (BS) preferably accompanied with advanced

degree (MS) in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering,

Materials Science, Textile Science, Paper Science or related field

· At least two years of work experience in polymeric materials, nonwovens or

textile field or a PhD in relevant discipline

· Experience with Lean six sigma and working knowledge of statistics is

required

· Hands-on lab laboratory experience with material characterization and testing

such as DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM etc. and/or strong knowledge and

understanding of different nonwoven manufacturing technologies is a plus.

· Ability to work in cross-functional teams within the facility as well as through

out the company

· Ability to organize, manage, and control workflow

Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Good time management skills

· Ability to learn analytical and problem-solving techniques

· Proficiency in MS office (word, excel, power point etc.)

· Ability to multi-task, team coordination and collaboration skills

· Demonstrate success as a team player

· Ability to interact with technical professionals

· Experience with lean six sigma
