PACCAR Inc. Distribution Innovation Project Manager in Renton, Washington

Requisition Summary The Distribution Innovation Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of projects to improve current processes within PACCAR Parts Distribution Centers. This role has a strong mix of project management skills, technical understanding and warehouse knowledge. Job Functions / Responsibilities * Identify and implement new technologies into the Parts Distribution Centers to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment. * Develop short- and long-range distribution network design strategy, capital planning and deployment, service level improvement, velocity / cycle time improvement, cost optimization, and KPI/metric development. * Partner with Operations Leadership to support improvement project implementation. * Review and develop project concepts into working initiatives across 10 Distribution Centers in North America. * Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestones, deliverables and identify any potential risks or issues. * Monitor activities within the team and coordinates implementations. * Ensure all project phases are completed, as well as communicating to key stakeholders the progress and performance against a project plan * Provide administrative support to project teams. * Develop master site plans for future project proposals. Create PowerPoint slides for presentations to PACCAR Parts Leadership. * Leverage LEAN/Six Sigma concepts to reduce process waste and drive end-to-end cost reductions and process efficiencies. * Champion innovation, simplification, and standardization of current solution offerings, operating procedures, methodologies, and processes * Administer department Purchase Requisitions for MRO products and services. * Periodic travel in support of project implementation and customer visits may be required. Qualifications & Skills * Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, engineering, operations or related field required. * Five years of relevant experience. * Strong Project Management skills and ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and changing priorities. * Familiar with distribution or plant operations and manufacturing production areas. * Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint * Effective analytical, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse team. * Knowledge of standard cost systems, cost analysis, and general accounting procedures and controls. * Demonstrated leadership and effective collaboration across diverse teams solving complex problems. * Training in DFSS and training in Advanced Quality Systems is desirable. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $96,700.00 - $136,290.00 annually.
