Job Description

An employer is looking for an Incident Communications Manager in the Redmond, WA area. Come join a fast paced Operations team responsible for incident communication and coordination for all of Microsoft Office 365 services. The Incident Communication team is a 24*7 organization, focused on real-time communication to our external customers as well as internal partners. We are looking for dynamic and flexible individuals who will help drive service incidents to resolution, while being responsible for effectively communicating these incidents to our customers and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be ! accountable for helping to define and drive efforts to improve communications and operational excellence across multiple engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent incident communications to stakeholders and external customers

  • Effectively coordinate these incidents across multiple organizations

  • Define and drive efforts to imp! rove our incident coordination and communication capabilities

  • Ability to multi-task on several incidents and/or projects at once

Skills and Requirements

  • Passion for customer excellence

  • Must effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in accordance with high level objectives/projects

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Written and spoken communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and clarity of thought. Documentation & mail will be seen by C Level executives and clients so all communication must be professional and well-written

  • Flexible shift coverage required, including holidays, evenings and weekends

  • Excellent crisis management skills, demonstrating resilience and maintaining a constructive attitude in times of change

  • Ability to quickly absorb and apply new concepts

  • Great collaborator and team player, building trust and respect with people outside of the immediate team

  • Must be able to handle stressful situations with tact and confidence, as well as be able to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Project/program management skills with great attention to detail

  • Technical Writing experience is highly preferred

  • Education / Professional Background in Journalism & Communications

  • Previous experience in an Incident Command Role

  • Experience w/ Product Studio/TFS/VSO

  • Previous experience in a Service Ops environment and any environment communicating with software/service engineers

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Service Offerings

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Cloud Services null
