Humana Lead Solutions Architect - EUC in Raleigh, North Carolina

The Lead Solutions Architect is a highly technical and strategic role with subject matter expertise in Digital Workplace (DW) and End-User Compute (EUC) technology domains, and strong knowledge and understanding of adjacent technology domains like network, identity and access management, and security.

The Lead Solutions Architect designs and develops IT solutions to business problems in alignment with Enterprise Architecture direction and approved technology standards and reference architectures. The Lead Solution Architect provides technology guidance, strategic road maps, principles, standards, and operational best practices to support Humana in managing their technology domains and meeting customer needs. The Lead Solutions Architect is also responsible for ensuring a cohesive strategic vision across a broad range of technologies and solves problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. 

  • Aligns product engineering, product management, user experience design, and enterprise architecture to produce enterprise level system designs and architecture

  • Collaborate closely with adjacent technology leaders (identity, security, endpoint management, vulnerability management, asset management, IT service management, analytics, etc.) to ensure the secure, seamless delivery of digital workplace technologies.

  • Responsible for the creation of 4-year strategic technology roadmaps, standards and reference architectures for areas supported by this role. 

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability. Combine and organize information into meaningful patterns; identify underlying relationships, causes and effects; and combine pieces of information to form conclusions or general rules. 

  • Communication. Excellent oral and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain digital concepts to business leaders and business concepts to technologists, and to sell ideas and processes internally at all levels, including the board and investors.

  • Business results orientation. Seek to understand business needs, and work to anticipate, identify and meet employee needs.

  • Advocate for advanced analytics and automation to streamline efficiencies.

  • Provides guidance and coaching to Lead Engineers across the department.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience performing solution architecture functions.

  • 5+ years applied expertise in enterprise workplace technologies to include the modern management of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Intune/Configuration Manager, JAMF, Azure Active Directory, endpoint technology and peripherals, software packaging/delivery, unified software store/delivery.

  • 5+ years of experience working in distributed, cloud-based, and on-prem environments e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.

  • Strong understanding of digital workplace technologies (hardware, software, services and SaaS tools).

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

  • 5+ years IT experience in highly regulated environments

  • 3+ years of working within continuous engineering Agile delivery frameworks to keep pace with frequent changes and reduce complexity

  • Expert knowledge of system architecture, design, configuration, and implementation across multiple device management technologies

  • 10+ years applied expertise in enterprise workplace technologies to include the modern management of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Intune/Configuration Manager, JAMF, Azure Active Directory, endpoint technology and peripherals, software packaging/delivery, unified software store/delivery.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience in a highly regulated IT environment supporting user-facing workplace technology solutions.

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$139,500 - $192,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
