As a Design Program Manager on our Design and Customer Experience team supporting Connected Commerce, you will be responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day workflow, processes and reporting that support our User Experience design project work across Design and Customer Experience (DCE).

Job responsibilities

  • Manage product BOW, including intake, assessment, resourcing, execution, tracking and managing capacity.

  • Partner closely with Design Lead, Product Owners, Tech Leads, Data Partners & Agility Leads on execution and delivery, as well as reporting

  • Key driver and champion of ongoing firm-wide and design team process improvements

  • Introduce and institute design-led ways of working with product, tech and data teams.

  • Track and manage small/medium/large design and research projects: ensure milestones are being met and project status is documented and updated regularly; produce reports as appropriate/requested; serve as overall traffic manager.

  • Consult with design teams to develop a clear plan including size, scope, sequence and next steps for design activities.

  • Ensure all deliverables (oftentimes complex/interdisciplinary/interlinked) are clearly specified, scoped and agreed between client and internal team(s)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of design project/ program management experience; strong project management skills

  • Understanding of Agile technology delivery & pthe roduct development lifecycle

  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize new software/tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Confluence

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated effectiveness developing plans, prioritizing activities and program execution

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly

  • Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with UX design; experience at both a design studio and a large corporate environment.

  • Understanding of Product development lifecycle at scale

  • Experience or familiarity with Atlassian / JIRA software tools

  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-disciplinary and geographically dispersed environment.
