Responsible for leading the operation of one or more plant value streams. Implements under the direction of Operations Leadership the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvement. Responsible for developing and leading team members. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.

Shift Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 5:00pm - 3:30am; additional hours on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday may be required or requested

Schedule flexibility required to ensure smooth communication with 1st shift leadership.

  • Leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvement. This includes supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities, and coordination between work cells and all functions.

  • Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere that encourages team member engagement and empowerment.

  • Meet with team members regularly to reflect on challenges, problems, and solutions thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize PDCA in conjunction with Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to ensure results

  • Ensure that standard work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.

  • Provide effective cross training to team members to ensure business stability.

  • Work with Operations and Lean Leadership to develop Future State Value Stream Maps and actively support project plans to obtain stated results.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience

  • Business acumen in areas such as operations, accounting, human resources, and supply chain

  • Model behaviors that promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities.

  • Able to create and maintain an environment with enthusiasm for challenges

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or leading Lean initiatives is preferred
