Robert Half is seeking a skilled candidate for an Accounting Clerk position at a department. The Accounting Clerk will match invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.

What you get to do every single day

• Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

• Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

• Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

• Publish financial information to journals and ledgers

• Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes Requirements - Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Excel Formulas experience

• Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent data entry skills

• Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
