Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Oceanside, California

Description

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the company’s accounts receivable records. Your keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will be essential in ensuring accurate financial records and timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.

  • Payment Tracking: Monitor and track incoming payments, ensuring they are recorded accurately.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Collections: Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to ensure timely payments.

  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or customer queries regarding invoices.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status and collections for management review.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.

  • Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies and procedures.

    Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar role is a plus.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in work.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
