BIOFIRE DEFENSE IT Support Specialist in MURRAY, Utah

Position Summary:

BioFire Defense, LLC, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. BioFire Defense is a cutting-edge facility providing excitement and excellence in the industry of molecular diagnostics.

 

In addition to providing stable and reliable IT support to an enterprise business environment, the IT department at BioFire Defense will give you hands-on experience with a wide variety of technology and help strengthen your knowledge and comfort in the technological field.

 

Employees in this position will support and maintain in-house computer systems, software, warranties, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware, software, and IT equipment. Daily responsibilities will include providing helpful and efficient troubleshooting for company employees in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. 

 

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide computer, software, and telecom support to all levels of end-users.
  • Support and maintain data backup systems and imaging.
  • Provide Exchange server and end-user email support.
  • Provide network support for LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
  • Provide support for corporate and field mobile phones.
  • Configure, deploy, support, and maintain all office computer equipment, corporate server room and network equipment.
  • Manage computer and peripheral inventory.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance

     

Training and Education:  

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • IT related certifications a plus

     

Skills and Experience:  

 

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on technical support experience with direct end user interaction in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge in hardware and software.
  • Diagnostic skills for troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Anti-Virus products and Virus/Malware removal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with support and maintenance of network systems and equipment, including wireless technology.
  • Professional written and oral communication.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs on a regular basis.
  • Genuine interest in the Information Technology field and desire to continue learning.
  • Important soft skills include effective multi-tasking, patience and professionalism while working with end users, and creativity.
