Shee Atika Government Services SGS - Human Resources Manager in Montgomery, Alabama

Job Type Full-time Description

Shee Atika Government Services (SGS) is seeking to add a Human Resources Manager remotely to our team. The Shee Atik Government Services Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the Shee Atik Director of Human Resources Director in the implementation and management of HR programs and initiatives. This includes employee onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance. The HR Manager will provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting the HR Director in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Supporting the Talent Acquisition team with the recruitment and selection process by participating in review and approval of offer letters and monitoring compliance aspects of the process.
  • Providing leadership to human resource team members.
  • Overseeing the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork and orientations are completed.
  • Assisting in the implementation of performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Administration and evaluation of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Working with HR Director in support of open enrollment and benefit plan renewals.
  • Assisting in the design and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career path development.
  • Providing analysis of the administration of the compensation and benefits program, including salary benchmarking, pay equity internal audits, and benefits enrollment.
  • Providing supervisor training to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and best practices in HR and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Works closely with payroll team to ensure accuracy in payroll data as it relates to HR functions such as onboarding and benefit administration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human resources.

SHRM-CP Certified.

Candidate must possess 10+ years' experience with the following

  • Working in Human Resources.
  • HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • HRIS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Recruitment and selection processes.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Organizational and time management skills.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Experience with Paylocity and/or Unanet or equivalent
  • At least 2 years in a senior, supervisory or management role
