Job Type Full-time Description

Shee Atika Incorporated (SAI) is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources. The Shee Atik Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's goals and objectives. The Director of HR will oversee recruitment and selection process, employee onboarding process, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the overall business objectives and foster employee engagement and retention.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR and talent acquisition teams.
  • Manage the HR budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Oversee the organizations onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Develop and implement a performance management system to drive employee performance and development and enhance the culture of employee idea generation and innovation.
  • Provide recommendations to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Design training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career path success in the organization.
  • Manage the compensation and benefits program, ensuring competitive and equitable pay and benefits.
  • Develop and oversee implementation and compliance with organizations company policies and compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in human resources.

SHRM-CP Certified.

Candidate must have 10+ years of experience with the following:

  • Working in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and programs.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Masters degree
  • SHRM-SCP
  • Experience with Paylocity and/or Unanet or equivalent.
  • Experience with Alaska Native Corporations.
