Bilingual Contract Specialist

The Commercial Contract Specialist, working collaboratively with Legal, is responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements including customer sales contracts, contract amendments, service agreements as well as responding to customer request for proposals (RFPs). Works closely with GEHC Canada Legal team, Business Managers, Sales, RFP Specialists, and Service Sales, as well as customers, procurement organizations, and their contracting resources. The Contract Specialist will identify clauses and terms that do not comply with standard GE Healthcare terms or present risk, and work to resolve those terms to the satisfaction of both GE Healthcare and our customers.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Draft, review and negotiate legal documents such as but not limited to Request for Proposals (RFP), customer sales contracts, amendments, Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), service contracts, and contract renewals

  • Manage commercial agreement workflow securing and documenting necessary approvals

  • Manage/Leverage contract clause libraries and contract databases

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Required Qualifications: (outline the minimum requirements)

  • Prior work experience or education on contract drafting and negotiation.

  • Demonstrated experience in prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment.

  • The ability to work in a matrixed environment collaborating with numerous stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in both English and French

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior business law experience in a similar role in a large law firm or corporate legal department.

  • Experience of the Healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations
