Robert Half Front Desk Coordinator in Long Beach, California

Description

Robert Half is currently working with a Non-Profit Organization who is seeking a dedicated and personable Front Desk Receptionist to join their team in Long Beach, CA. As the first point of contact for the organization, the Front Desk Receptionist will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming and efficient experience for visitors, clients, and staff. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, and passionate about supporting children's education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and staff in a warm and professional manner.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed and transferring calls to appropriate staff members.

  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it remains tidy and presentable at all times.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as sorting mail, organizing files, and maintaining office supplies inventory.

  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room reservations as requested.

  • Provide basic information about [Non-Profit Organization Name], its programs, and services to visitors and callers.

  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including setting up and cleaning up for meetings, workshops, and other events.

  • Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless operations and support across the organization.

  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and inquiries.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or Executive Director.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional office or customer service role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and basic administrative skills.

  • Demonstrate respect for diversity and a commitment to creating an inclusive working environment.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, given our work with children.

  • Prior experience in an educational or non-profit setting is a plus.
