Electrical Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Essential Functions:

Designs electrical systems by developing and testing components.

Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and

conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.

Confirms systems' and components' capabilities by designing testing methods.

Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and

testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.

Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building

and assembling electrical components.

Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished

products and system capabilities.

Assures product designs meet applicable certification requirements and industry

standards.

Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and

trends.

Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state

regulations.

Provides troubleshooting and training knowledge to Customer Support and Product

Development.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,

reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies where

applicable.

Qualifications Needed:

Experience with indoor electrical appliances

Electronic testing design

Electronics troubleshooting

Electronic systems

Analyzing information

Reporting research results

Education Requirements

BS in electrical engineering degree required, Master's degree a plus

5+ years relevant work experience, including internship or cooperative program

experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional

(CSEP) certification(s).
