Description:
A hydraulic manifold company in Lenexa is looking to hire an experienced Mill Machinist/Programmer.
Job Duties:
Set up, maintain, and aid in operation of CNC Milling Machines.
Must have some programming experience including CMM
Not looking for someone to take direction from programmer, looking for someone to assist programmer directly
Monitor the quality of parts manufactured on the shift
Meet production deadlines while maintain quality
Objective: Program & Set Up Machine
Expectations
• Develop project documentation (Routing) and machine code using various applications including MasterCam, Vericut, Solidworks and Microsoft office products
o Trouble shoot program and machining problems, advise as necessary
o Work with peers to maintain production schedules
o Document and maintain tool inventory
o Work with management to develop best practices, continuous improvement activities, work holding and tooling
o Communicate with supervisor if any direction is unclear
• Set Up machining centers according to standard work instructions (Routing)
o Use best practice and standard operating procedure (SOP) as trained
o Produce in tolerance set up pieces
o Follow temporary manufacturing deviation request (TMDR) procedure when changes are required
o De commission machine after operation
o Build / tear down tooling as needed
o Inspect tooling for wear, advise supervision as necessary
o Maintain tool crib organization and cleanliness
• Load parts on machine according to standard work instructions
o Use best practice and standard operating procedure (SOP) as trained
• Inspect parts according to standard work instructions
o Use in process inspection methods to verify non-conforming material
Stop machine and notify supervisor when non-conforming material is detected. Tag material with defect description
Sort and contain all additional non-conforming material according to SOP
o Work with peers as directed by supervisor
• Deburr parts according to standard work instructions
o Produce desired results and visually inspect for abnormal conditions
• Work in a team environment to achieve production goals
o Run / clean multiple machines as directed
o Work with peers as directed by supervisor to achieve all production goals stated above

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years experience of machining, knowledge of G-code M-code and CMM
Recent experience with MasterCam, Vericut, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office products.
Formal tech school training preferred
