We are seeking a Lab Technician Sr for our Kingsland, GA location who can work independently and take initiative. The position is responsible for the analysis and storage of samples. You will determine their chemical and physical properties using a variety of techniques and instrumentation.

• Perform testing and approve inbound, in-process, and outbound sample analysis

• Perform tank analyses to verify product specification

• Operate and perform troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation

• Housekeeping

• Perform special assignments to assist in lab and plant operations

• Prepare reagents and standard for use in analyses

• Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a timely fashion

What does it take to work for Synergy?

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred

• 3+ years’ experience outside of education.

• In-Process and Final Product analyses experience using ICP for metals preferred

• Viscometry, Flash point KF titration, and/or API density experience an asset!

• Inbound Receipt analysis using GC for Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) preferred

• Lubricant testing experience and/or wet chemistry and sample prep is a plus!

• Follow direction and take initiative

• Self-starter, forward thinker with attention to detail

• Work independently as well as in a team environment

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control

• Experience handling a variety of solvents and other hazardous chemicals

• Communicate well written and verbally

• MS Office Suite – Excel, Word and Outlook

• Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods and climb stairs
