Tasks & responsibilities

• Imagine a world where your tech-savvy skills meet OpenStack and SAP technologies, programming languages, and frameworks. In this role, you will be designing and implementing business logic, backend services, and architecture for custom cloud-based applications.

• You will work hand in hand with business contributors, process experts and IT functional consultants. Together, you will develop applications, creating high-quality code based on user stories. This includes unit/integration tests and code documentation of the highest quality for product increments in rapid iterations.

• But that's not all! You will also lend your expertise to BTP deployment projects and hypercare phases, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents to ensure operational stability for the applications.

• You will provide guidance to team members to enhance their coding capabilities through code review, mentoring, and promoting best practices during development.

• Finally, you will be the bridge between solution architects and business consultants from the SAP Development team. Together, you will devise system architecture and decide on suitable technology standards. You will actively collaborate with IT service teams, research units, and external vendors to ensure operational service stability and maintenance of our IT system landscape for our business area.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent with several years of working experience in IT as an interface to internal and external stakeholders ; alternatively bachelor’s degree with long-term experience

• Proven professional experience in software development and testing on both backend and frontend; SAPUi5, CSS, Nodejs with know-how of modern technologies and frameworks, API design (REST/OData), development and cloud-based database technologies such as SAPs HANA, Postgres, etc.

• Core Data Services (CDS) with Strong Cloud Application Programming model (CAPM) & JavaScript Knowledge

• Working experience in CI/CD platforms such as SAPs CI/CD and Transport Management services

• Hands on experience with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and GIT is nice to have

• Capability to work well in an international English team-based environment as well as on your own
