This is an entry-level position with basic training being about 6 months. Drives truck or automobile over established route to deliver products or render services, and pickup equipment when scheduled. Position located at the Hilo warehouse. This individual can function in all aspect of the field operations including, warehousing, cleaning equipment and company vehicles, security and equipment, safety, acute facility placement of Equipment and home equipment placement as well as education to the end user. This position has primary responsibilities in delivery, cleaning of returned equipment, cleaning of entire physical plant (warehouse, store and grounds) on a routine basis. The Medical Equipment Technician 1 (MET 1) will obtain necessary education and training to repair and clean, adjust and troubleshoot company equipment. This expertise will include fitting and education to the end user patient/client/caregiver. This individual must seek out learning opportunities. This position reports directly to the Operations Department Supervisor, MET 2. They will receive daily tasks, known as run schedule, from the office staff or Operations Supervisor. In the event we have more than one MET 1s then job responsibilities would be shared. It would however be expected that all employees be able to complete all tasks on this job description.
