Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a Automation Tester to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.

Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.

• 5 years of hands-on experience with test automation.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Airline industry experience, including business processes and supporting technology.

• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Experience applying automation techniques and tools JMETER & Cypress.

• Experience with different programming languages Java.

• Experience with test automation in Quality Center

• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.

• Possess a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.

• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

What You Will Be Doing

• This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.

• Responsible for defining and creating test processes to ensure delivery of quality software products and mentor teammates. Provides test automation services related to system test strategies and solutions that incorporate industry standard techniques, strategies, and processes. Plans, designs, creates and executes automated test suites for multiple applications with supervision by team leads.

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.

• Participate in the entire testing project lifecycle from requirements to test executions.

• Document test issues and works with development team to validate/recreate issue.

• Document test cases for the user story requirements for traceability purpose.

• Work in an agile environment.

• Actively communicates testing status, including schedule, risks, issues, defects, and potential impact.

• Troubleshoot issues by researching symptoms, analyzing impacts, and implementing solutions.
