We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Pharm/Biotech industry located in Durham, North Carolina. The role is for a VP of Finance who will oversee all accounting and reporting activities, leading the accounting organization, and assisting with the monthly close process and monthly financial statement review. For consideration for the position, you must be an active CPA with experience in the manufacturing industry. SAP experience is a plus. This is an onsite position that offers a competitive base salary, and annual bonus program and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and reporting activities

• Manage the accurate preparation and review of all external financial reports

• Ensure proactive interpretation and application of US GAAP

• Comply with internal controls related to the reporting process

• Interface effectively with numerous individuals both inside and outside the Company to resolve accounting issues

• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner

• Manage accounts receivable collection processes to ensure timely payment by customers

• Oversee accounts payable

• Review payroll processing and coordinate audit activities

• Prepare sales tax returns and maintain accounts, ledgers, and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and complete month end close procedures on a timely basis

• Coordinate the annual budgeting and planning process with the company’s leadership team

• Review financial budgets to actual results to identify variances as appropriate

• Assist with special projects as they arise.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the finance sector, preferably within the manufacturing sector

• Proficiency in Monthly, International, and Annual Financial Reporting is essential

• Demonstrated experience in General Ledger management and Month End Close procedures

• Proven track record in managing Consolidated Financial Statements and Corporate Consolidation

• Expertise in Budgeting, Forecasting, and handling Annual Budgets

• Strong skills in Variance Analysis and Financial Audits

• CPA certification is required

• Extensive experience in Public Accounting

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements is a must

• Candidates should possess excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Advanced knowledge of SAP and MS Office tools

• Proven ability to lead a team towards achieving financial goals and objectives.
