We’re looking for an Engineering Program Manager to join the Worldwide Developer Relations Program and Infrastructure team. As a member of the WWDR Programs & Infrastructure team, you’ll help drive programs that support our amazing 3rd party developers in the developer program. This role creates and organizes workflows for our developer program, maintains and updates data, proactively manages schedules and routinely communicates with a wide array of individuals globally while supporting the work of our mission to support developers and help them create great apps. The ideal candidate should have exemplary leadership experience, top notch organizational skills, and the ability to plan, communicate, manage, and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in high-tech program management

  • Thorough knowledge of the App Store ecosystem and Developer Program and how developers build and submit apps, is required

  • Passionate about creating products and services that enable third party developer success

  • Proven track record of leading strategic programs combined with the ability to execute tactical project-level activities and tasks

  • Demonstrated experience as the central contract point, managing multiple, simultaneous services oriented projects

  • Expertise in coordination & participation in requirements gathering, data definition, and design brainstorming sessions

  • Excellent analytical, written & verbal communication skills, along with polished presentation skills

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to business teams, and business issues to technical teams, in a clear and effective manner

  • Solid experience in managing resources, preparing appropriate documentation, and delegating tasks to project team members

  • Demonstrates the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate solutions

Description

The WWDR Developer Programs & Infrastructure team is seeking an experienced cross functional Engineering Program Manager to help define and deliver new features, technologies, products, and services to our Apple Developer Programs and third party developer community. The candidate will be responsible for managing globally cross-functional and cross-organizational programs to define, build and roll-out multi-tiered programs that increase efficiencies, improve processes, and drive engagement from our developer community. This will include: - Ensuring programmatic commitments, procedures, financial standards, and legal requirements are met and managed. You will work with organizations across Apple including Software Engineering, Legal, Developer Marketing, Public Relations, and more to ensure that the developer offerings are aligned with the goals of each organization and adhere to Apple standards - Managing projects that involve multiple facets of developer ecosystem - Communicating program status and elevate critical risks to program management office and senior-executive teams - Influencing decisions, introduce new ideas, and lead change through collaboration and leadership - Reading, analyzing, and interpreting data in order to creatively assemble concise reports for key stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis - Identifying and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and issues quickly and effectively - Supporting a global team, requiring responsiveness and flexibility outside of normal business hours

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required - App development experience strongly preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,100.00 and $263,800.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
