St. Peter’s Haven Corporation Pantry Manager in Clifton, New Jersey

Job Description: Manage food pantry inventory. Place orders with vendors and purchase food items from local stores. Ensure proper receipt of all food donations. Work with Office Administrator to ensure proper acknowledgement of items received and input into database. Ensure that food storage complies with USDA food safety regulations. Collect data and create monthly reports sent to the NJ Food Bank and Emergency Food Coalition. Organize and oversee set up for pantry distributions. Ensure proper handling of food during distribution. Coordinate all pantry activities including communication with pantry staff and volunteers. Supervise pantry team staff members and volunteers. Attend and hold staff meetings. Maintain volunteer recruiting databases. Train new volunteers to ensure client needs are met. Oversee interview of clients and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained and entered into database. Maintain client bulletin board and brochure rack with current information. Coordinate client special events and food drives. Maintain communication with individuals organizing food drives. This position will supervise stockers and order fillers.Requirements: Applicant must be a High School/GED and at least two (2) years of experience as Pantry Team Member. Must have knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Must have Food Handler Training Certificate. 40 hours per week. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
