Robert Half Digital Asset Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Description

Our client is seeking a contract Digital Asset Manager Librarian (DAM) to join their team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role, working full-time hours.

The Digital Asset Manager (DAM) will report to the Marketing Manager. As part of our client's marketing team, the DAM will handle the organization, management, and optimization of digital assets or content in our company's comprehensive library.

Key to this role is leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to simplify asset workflows and significantly improve user experience. We're looking for a meticulous individual with a deep understanding of digital asset management best practices, metadata protocol, and AEM administration capabilities. The DAM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective access to our digital assets and support the company's marketing, brand development, and content creation initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively with the Performance Marketing team to establish content asset protocols and processes that enhance the brand experience.

• Formulate and uphold a wide-ranging digital asset management strategy, which includes taxonomy creation, metadata schema development, and asset lifecycle management.

• Manage the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, such as user access, workflow configuration, and system optimization.

• Arrange digital assets within AEM according to set taxonomy and metadata principles, ensuring these assets are easily identifiable and accessible.

• Liaise with key players to fathom asset usage requirements and establish workflows that back asset creation, upload, sanction, and distribution processes.

• Train internal users on optimal practices for managing assets within AEM.

• Monitor asset usage metrics to assess the effectiveness of management strategies and identify areas for optimization.

• Collaborate with IT and digital marketing and brand teams to integrate AEM with other systems and tools.

• Stay updated about industry trends and emerging technologies related to digital asset management and provide recommendations for constant improvement.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in library science, information science, digital media, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certification in digital asset management will have an added advantage.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in digital asset management in a corporate or agency setting.

• Proficient in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) administration, including user management, workflow setup, and asset metadata management.

• Excellent understanding of metadata standards and best practices for organizing and retrieving digital assets.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on precise metadata tagging and asset management practices.

• Solid knowledge of digital rights management rules and related copyright laws.

• Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with other digital asset management systems and tools will be a plus.
