Job Description

Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Associate Director, Business Intelligence is generating and owning monthly dashboards for local and global clients and providing impactful insights and recommendations via said data visualization. The role requires both strategic and tactical skill sets, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, a critical understanding media, and the ability to communicate succinctly to client and internal stakeholders.

Role Objectives:

  • Understand how platform/data technologies work, the opportunities and limitations of them, and the ability to explain technical concepts in ordinary terms

  • Develop and manage data integrations utilizing a taxonomy nomenclature to enable data visualization to showcase media performance using Datorama or Tableau

  • Perform regular quality assurance/quality control checks on assigned client campaigns to ensure the data is processing accurately

  • Build and own dashboards for Local and Global clients

  • Utilize Excel, Datorama and Tableau to pull data into custom charts, tables, and to showcase the most critical series of actionable business metrics

  • Design and build backend data streams and processes to automate reporting capability with data visualization tools

  • Lead the team data delivery for MMM and MTA modeling to required partners using ETL tools and/or Cloud environment; develop and communicate issues or process improvement with internal stakeholders and client as required

  • Contribute to client status and reporting calls, including presentation of reporting as required

  • Support the development of measurement strategies, learning agendas, and roadmaps with input from senior team members and internal stakeholders

  • Develop subject matter expertise in performance marketing, web analytics, and Business Intelligence platforms

  • Manage and/or mentor junior team members and provide training, project support, and career development in data visualization

  • Clearly define project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies for junior team members, internal stakeholders, and clients

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

  • Can successfully partner with media teams to execute campaign objectives, strategy, and digital and traditional media plans

  • Can prepare reports and analysis summarizing campaign performance against objectives

  • Can analyze, synthesize and visually present data for campaign analysis

  • Strong oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills

  • Self-starter attitude with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Can function independently while providing guidance and support to a team of analysts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years managing a team

  • 3+ years related experience in digital analytics/dashboard design

  • Experience working with international teams is a plus

  • Basic SQL skills and experience with marketing platforms

  • Proficiency with Datorama, Tableau, or other data visualization tools

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite or similar reporting tools

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Google 360, Adobe Suite, DSPs, AWS, WebTrends etc.

  • Experience developing code with Python preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization)

  • Experience with online advertising/media, channel marketing, strategic marketing, off-line advertising/media and/or consulting
