This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Purpose The purpose of this role is to lead the management and administration of the company's benefit programs and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities will include escalated claim investigations, leading the enrollment processes, and supporting compliance activities for all benefit programs. Responsibilities * Responsible for the administration of all health and welfare benefit plans. * Ensure administrative compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations related to benefit plans (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, etc.). * Lead the annual health and welfare enrollment process for all active and retired employees * Work with our third-party administrators and insurance companies to provide direction on the resolution of escalated issues and correspond on escalated administrative issues to all associates (active and retired) of Metallus Inc. * Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of all policies and procedures; responsible for supporting any compliance-related document updates, including ERISA plan documents, summary plan descriptions, etc. * Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required filings and employee communications or notifications; support activities related to form 5500 filings, PBGC premium filings, benefits annual enrollment notices, summary of material modifications and others related to proper benefits administration under ERISA and IRS cafeteria plan rules. * Provide project support for healthcare strategy and other strategic and / or operational initiatives which enhance our Total Rewards (TR) programs. Technical & Functional Skills * Learning agility * Results focus * Excellent verbal and written communication * Knowledge of benefits administration Minimum Qualifications * Associate's degree in HR, business, finance, or related area; with 4 years of experience, at least 1 year of which is in benefits administration * Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance, or related area; with 2 years of experience, at least 1 year of which is in benefits administration Preferred Qualifications * Associate's degree in HR, business, finance, or related area; with 6 years of experience, at least 1 year of which is in benefits administration * Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance, or related area; with 3 years of experience, at least 1 year of which is in benefits administration All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
