We are searching for a talented and qualified Electrician who has proven experience with the safe and effective execution of electrical system repairs on industrial equipment. Working a rotating shift schedule to support continuous production operations, you will be responsible for safely executing a variety of electrical troubleshooting and repair work.

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of motors, indicating systems, transformers, switchboards (low voltage), motor controllers, circuit breakers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other electrical equipment essential for production performance in a manufacturing facility. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.

  • Works from schematics, drawings, layouts or other specifications to install and test electrical systems or equipment

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Systems tests and inspections, documenting results.

  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.

  • Uses test instruments to determine faults and replaces components

  • Work with a range of hand tools including electrical test equipment.

  • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.

  • Assists specialists and engineers in making more complex repairs.

  • Comply with all plant safety directives

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment as part of a 12 hour shift crew.

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar role

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with good applied mathematical skills.

  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.

Comp:

$37.95/hour
