Description:

We are looking to hire a CST/Obstetric Technician on our night shift in Boise! This full-time, benefited position will be located at our Regional Medical Center (https://www.saintalphonsus.org/location/saint-alphonsus-regional-medical-center) off I-184 and Curtis Rd. You will work 36 hours each week (three 12-hour shifts 7pm-7:30am). Work shifts could include weekends.

As an Obstetrics Technician that is CST certified or an LPN with previous scrub experience, you can expect to assist when overnight c-sections are required. You will provide setup and preparation of surgical procedures for physicians and surgical staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will also provide support and communicate directly with surgical teams and supervisory staff.

The majority of your time, you will play a critical role actively supporting our Maternity Center patients by rooming patients, setting up charts, helping take vitals, giving baby baths, assist the floor in stocking, and also function as a Unit Clerk and C ertified Nursing Assistant to provide the exceptional patient care that Saint Alphonsus is recognized for.

LICENSE/ CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the NCCT or Licensed as an LPN in lieu of certifications

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • CST: One year of scrub experience in acute care hospital setting preferred. or

  • LPN: At least one year of scrub experience required .
