Newell Brands Finance Manager, BP&A in Atlanta, Georgia
Job Summary:
Reporting to the BP&A Director, this role will support the consolidated reporting requirements for the Executive Management Team. Primary responsibilities will include, gathering data and developing all necessary modeling (Excel), delivery of all monthly reporting (PowerPoint) and providing other ad-hoc reporting as needed by the Executive Team. This position will play a key role in the coordination and completion of timely and accurate planning, forecasting and performance management deliverables.
Job Description:
Coordination and consolidation of the annual operating plan/budget, the quarterly forecasts, business reviews and decision support analysis for all financial results and presentations
Collaborate with the planning team to support the business units and the global financial systems team
Strong collaboration and business partnership with Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury Teams to further develop harmonized reporting and analytics
Develop effective relationships in order to gather information, ensure reporting alignment and assist in the development of thoughtful conclusions and ensure timely and accurate delivery of all monthly executive summaries
Analyze monthly results and / or trending data, support the planning/forecast process, and understand key risks and opportunities
Build consolidated total Company forecasting for Cash Flow
Partner with Segment leaders to understand changes in Cash Flow
Develop long-term liquidity and capital allocation models
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
4-6 years’ relevant experience; manufacturing or CPG environment preferred
Highly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion (HFM), and business modeling tools
Ability to thrive in a matrix organization, must be systems savvy, and comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization
Ability to set up and document new processes and tools, using strong analytic capabilities
Outstanding technical and analytical skills
Strong ability to grasp complex issues, learn new systems quickly and be resourceful; Superior teamwork skills and ability to collaborate
Experience in developing monthly reports and presentations for executive teams and Board of Directors
Ability to analyze and present complex financial information in simple terms
Good presentation skills
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Basic knowledge of US GAAP
Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
Basic knowledge of cost accounting & controls in manufacturing environment
